Often in life you'll meet those who have convinced themselves that certain kinds of success are so far beyond our reach that it's foolish to even pursue it. Especially with creative pursuits. They bitterly dismiss your dreams and laugh at your naiveté for thinking of yourself as special enough to achieve them. But I'm convinced that these people feel this way because somewhere deep down they share the desire but need to convince themselves that it's impossible so as to avoid feeling like cowards for not even trying. Their fear and cynicism create the ceilings to their dreams and dictate what is and what is not achievable. But maybe the meager limits to their hope is just the start of yours. Maybe what they call a ceiling- you call a floor.
